Anik Janjughazyan LMFTLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist

About

The core of my practice is to empower, awaken and rediscover the authentic self by providing a safe space to commence the process of self healing.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a diverse professional background that includes over 10 years of experience working with children and teenagers with developmental disorders; Autism, learning and speech impairments, as well as difficulties with emotional and social development .

My work in public mental health has had a poignant impact on my therapeutic techniques and approach.  This included facilitating support groups at the YWCA where I worked with survivors of abuse, rape, and domestic violence.

My work in the field continued at Mission Community Hospital’s outpatient treatment center. There, I conducted psycho-educational, stress-management, coping skills and meditation groups for a wide demographic utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Music and Art Therapy.

My experience at the San Fernando Counseling Center redefined the importance of marriage and family therapy for me. I developed a viable rapport with  individuals, couples and families suffering from depression, anxiety, marital issues, grief and loss, suicidal thoughts and ideations, sexual disorders and PTSD.

With your permission and collaboration we will bring awareness to the underlying issues that interfere with reaching our highest potential and live a life filled with JOY – which we all seek and deserve!!

My eclectic approach to therapy is humanistic, existential, and client-centered in a manner that is adaptable to each individual and their unique set of needs. Get Started Today!
